laser Hair Removal Where Can Laser

Laser hair removal is effective for removing hair from small as well as large body areas and is more commonly used for removing facial hair, unwanted hair from arms, legs, bikini line, stomach, chest, neck, back and underarms. The only body parts where laser should not be used are areas near the eyes like the eyebrows and the space between the eyebrows, as laser rays can cause much harm to the eyes.

Laser is the best way to remove body hair from larger areas that would take very long by electrolysis, like the back, legs, stomach and chest. Laser targets several hair follicles at once, in contrast to electrolysis, making it a very rapid procedure. Also, laser is the preferred method of removing coarse, thick body hair, the removal of which would be difficult and more painful by other methods.

Laser Hair Removal for Facial and Neck Hair

Removing hair from parts of the face like the upper and lower lips, chin and sideburns has never been so easy! This, coupled with the fact that laser hair removal is very long lasting and causes softer, finer hair re-growth, makes laser a very popular choice for removing unwanted facial hair.

Laser Hair Removal for Chest and Stomach Hair

Laser is fast becoming the treatment of choice for removing chest hair in both men and women, because it is way ahead of other methods of long-lasting hair removal like electrolysis in terms of speed. Also, the lesser number of sessions required as compared to electrolysis makes the procedure less costly and a much more attractive option for more and more women and also men who are deeply troubled by dark, thick, unsightly hair on body parts like the chest and stomach.

Laser Hair Removal for Arms, Underarms and Legs

Laser is also a good method if you want to get rid of hair from your arms, underarms and legs. It is being increasingly used, especially for near permanent removal of underarm hair by men and women alike, as a session for the underarms just takes a few minutes. Arms and legs, being larger areas, would require much more time for hair removal by electrolysis, making laser the preferred method, which takes just an hour or so.

Laser Hair Removal for Back

The back being such a large area and also a hairy area in most men and in many women, is a cause of significant concern to many people. Laser hair removal has become a boon for such people as it is the only way to achieve near permanent hair removal from such a large and relatively inaccessible body area in a short duration of time. It will take so long by electrolysis that you will not even like to consider it as an option, and to regularly clear the back hair by waxing, epilating, etc. is not everyone’s cup of tea. Some people do use bleaching and waxing for hair on the back, but, this would also require another person to help you with the process, besides the fact that waxing causes skin irritation, rashes and dark pigmentation in many people who use it on the back.

Laser Hair Removal for Bikini Line

Laser has been found to be extremely successful for removing unwanted hair from the bikini line. A complete hair removal from this area can take 4-6 sessions, each session only taking a few minutes, depending on hair density and other factors. Also, the re-growth, if it occurs, is mostly quite sparse and fine, so, it is not a cause of any aesthetic concern.

You should keep in mind the fact that laser works best on dark hair and fair skin, although newer types of lasers have arrived on the scene with promises of working on darker skin and lighter hair as well. Your laser specialist can advise you about which type of laser would be more suitable for your skin and hair type. The sensitivity and suitability of your skin to laser can be tested by a patch test, which would help to decide the further course of action. Also, laser should not be used on skin with a tan unless you get rid of the tan first.

Thus, laser is the best deal for people desiring lasting and relatively pain free hair removal from any body part, especially for larger body areas and dark, thick and stubborn hair.
